This beautiful two piece Maple Irish Flute is made by Ralph Sweet
of the Sweetheart Flute Company. Mr. Sweet pays great attention to detail, and it shows in
the quality of his work. It is approx. 24" long, and is tuned to the key of
"D" (D and G are the most popular for traditional Irish music).

It is tunable, but made from one solid piece of wood,
so the wood grain matches perfectly, and gives the appearance of a one-piece flute. It
produces a deep, rich tone. Each of the two pieces of the flute are marked with matching
serial numbers.
An Irish Flute is played in the same range as a Low Whistle, and is fingered
the same as a Low or a Soprano D whistle.
