  This flute is hand-made by the Sweetheart Flute Co. - one of the most well respected names in flute making today. It's made of beautiful Blackwood, and is adapted from fine English flutes of the 1800's. It is perfectly suited for use in Irish performance or re-creation of Victorian-era classical music.

It has Block-mounted sterling silver keys (the keys allow you to play Bb, C, G#, F, long F, and D#), the rings are also made of sterling silver. It has a fully lined head joint and metal tuning slide. It produces very solid low notes and rich, clear high notes.

  An Irish Flute fingered exactly the same as a Low D whistle (however the finger holes are closer together and smaller than on a typical Low D whistle). The individual serial number is inscribed on the back of the flute.

The following accessories are also included with this flute (also see pics below):

• Humitron Humidifier - Sweetheart Flute recommends using this in dry regions, where humidity falls below 50%. Instructions to use the humidifier are also included.

• Cleaning Wand - Use this with a piece of soft cotton (from a t-shirt, etc.) to wipe out the flute, or to oil the inside.

PLEASE NOTE: We will try to always keep this flute in stock, but there may be a bit of a wait for one at times (possibly up to a few months, but this should be rare).
