Walking-Stick FluteKey of D (Low)Sweetheart Flute Co.

currently stocking this instrument
This beautiful Walking Stick Flute was made by Ralph Sweet of the Sweetheart Flute Company, and is based on a walking-stick flute at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Mr. Sweet pays great attention to detail, and it shows in the quality of his work. The flute is approx. 36" long, and tuned to the key of "D" (D and G are the most popular for traditional Irish music, this flute plays easily in both keys). All three pieces are made from the same piece of rosewood, so that the grain matches perfectly - the fittings are make of Nickel plated solid Brass. The flute can be played with the head removed to lighten the instrument, if desired.
If you purchase a wooden instrument from us, we recommend that you take a look at the "Care of the Flute" Page at flute maker Terry McGee's website.
