This is a Walton's Whistle - made in Dublin,
Ireland. It's available in your choice of brushed brass or bright nickel and has a green
plastic fipple (mouthpiece). The plastic mouthpiece has become accepted and even preferred
by most traditional players, due to the consistency of sound that they produce.
It is played very easily in the entire two octave
range, and has a pleasant, bright tone.
If you are new to playing whistle, we
recommend that you get a whistle in the Key of D. All of the tutorials and songbooks that
we sell are intended for a whistle in the key of D. See our Beginner's Section for more on this.
