Dixon instruments are made in the UK by Tony Dixon (also well known for
his high quality
Polymer Flutes). They are made of PVC and have a beautiful clear tone that has
enough volume to hold it's own in any session without being overpowering. They play easily
in both octaves, making them perfect for the beginner as well as the experienced player.
This whistle has a unique brass tuning
slide - it's made of two layers of brass that interlace with each other and the
body of the whistle, making for a very solid joint that slides easily, but
doesn't slip out of tune while playing (see close-up pic below).

with this whistle
