Slow Session at The Whistle Shop

Hi All,

‘Just a reminder that there’s a Slow Session at The Whistle Shop this coming Saturday (March 19th) from 10:00am – Noon. Remember - leave your sheetmusic at home for “Off to California” and “Road to Lisdoonvarna”. I’m sure that none of you need it anymore anyway - just take it out of your folder right now and burn it!

Jeff Calhoun has posted a really nice website for information about Celtic music in Central Illinois (I’m sure that it was a lot of work - thanks Jeff!). Make sure to pop into the Forum there and introduce yourself! Here’s a link:

I’d imagine that I don’t have to remind any of you (but it appears that I’m going to do it anyway) - Thursday is St. Patrick’s Day!

A blatant St. Pat’s commercial follows (if this sort of thing bothers you, please read no further…):

Bloomsday will be playing at the following locations on St. Pat’s Day:

2:00p - 3:15p
St. Pat's Society of Peoria
Holiday Inn City Center

500 Hamilton Blvd.
Peoria, IL 800/474-2501

5:00p - 6:30p
 J.J. Ryan's
4700 N. University
(In the Metro Centre)
Peoria, IL 309/693-3280

8:00p - 11:00p
Maggie Miley's Irish Pub
126 E. Beaufort Street
Normal, IL.
61761

I sure hope to see everyone on St. Pat’s Day, but if not, I’ll see you Saturday!
