Subject: Slow Session at The Whistle Shop
Hi All,
The Slow Session on Saturday was great. We had a number of new players; we actually ran out of seats – which is a very good problem to have!
The next Slow Session at The Whistle Shop is tentatively scheduled for Saturday April 2nd from 10:00am – Noon. I’ll send another email confirming this when we get a little closer to that date.
I’ve added guitar chords to the sheetmusic for “Behind the Bush in the Garden” at the website. I’ve also posted recordings of it there. Larry picked this tune for us to do, and I’m not really all that familiar with it yet. Larry – please let me know if the tempo that I chose for the recording isn’t approx. where you think it should be…
I had told you all before that I’m going to add a recording of “Cockles and Mussels” (just Guitar and Vocal; no sheetmusic) at the website, so that we can work a little on learning melodies by ear. I thought that I’d be able to get that done this weekend also, but I’ve had a cold since last Wednesday; when I tried to record the vocal for it today it didn’t sound so good… I’ll get it posted at the website as soon as possible.
