Subject: Slow Session at The Whistle Shop - 05/04/03

Hi All,

The Slow Session went very well on Saturday May 3^rd – in addition to most of the players that attended our first Session, we had a few new players show up.

For those of you that couldn’t attend:

~ We worked on “The Butterfly” and “Road To Lisdoonvarna” some more, then we started working on “Off To California”.

~ There will not be a Slow Session on Saturday May 17th! We have rescheduled this Session to Saturday May 24th. We should be back on our regular schedule on Saturday May 31^st.

NEW - I’ve posted a webpage with info about the Slow Session, including audio files (.mp3) of the tunes that we’re working on – both full-speed and slowed-down versions. I’d recommend that everyone get “The Amazing Slowdowner” (available at www.ronimusic.com), then save the “full-speed” versions of the tunes to your computer. You can then use The Amazing Slowdowner to easily choose a speed that’s comfortable for you, gradually speeding up as you become more comfortable with the tune.
