`Just a quick reminder that we'll be having our next Slow Session at The Whistle Shop on Saturday June 21st from 10:00am - Noon.


I've posted the sheet music for our new tunes at the Slow Session website:

~ Dingle Regatta
~ Glass of Beer
~ Hardiman the Fiddler
~ Rolling in the Rye Grass

If a few of the new tunes seem a bit intimidating, don't get discouraged - we'll be playing them nice and slow at the Slow Session so that everyone can get very familiar with them. Kevin and I haven't had a chance to get together to record these new tunes yet, but we should be able to soon. I'll send another email when I have the recordings posted. I'm trying to finish up the new recordings of "The Butterfly" and "Road to Lisdoonvarna" today.

We've kind of decided that the best way to run the Slow Sessions is to work on scales and the pre-planned tunes for most of our time, but leave the last half hour or so for more of a regular "Session" (different tunes, played up to full tempo). This should help to keep the interest of players that are at any skill level. Your comments are more than welcome on this!
