Hi All,

First of all, it’s been brought to my attention that I still had not “found” some of the requests from new players to be added to our ever-growing Slow Session group. I thought that I figured out what the problem was about a month ago, but it appears that a few more email addresses have been missed. So to those of you that had requested to join us over the last few months, but hadn’t received a confirmation from me – WELCOME! I’ve just sent a few “test” requests (from different email addresses) this evening, and everything appears to be working properly now…

Our next Slow Session at The Whistle Shop has been tentatively set for this coming Saturday (August 5th) from 10:00am – Noon. I’d like to gauge the interest in this one before actually confirming it - the Dublin, OH Irish Fest is this coming weekend; I would probably go over there on Saturday if there wasn’t going to be a Slow Session. So if you’re planning to attend the Slow Session this coming Saturday, please let me know as soon as possible!

Don’t get me wrong - I will be quite happy to stay in town this Saturday to play at the Slow Session - but on the other hand, I’d be kind of sorry that I didn’t go to Dublin if there are only going to be a few of us attending the Slow Session. This sort of thing seems to happen every Summer (there's always so much other stuff going on on the weekends), but it looks like after this we might be able to get back to our regular twice-a-month schedule.

I’ll plan on sending out another email at around 3:00pm (Central Time) on Friday to confirm if there will be a Slow Session on Saturday or not (I’ll also update the message at the Slow Session website at that time). I hope that doing it this way this time around is not a major inconvenience to anyone…
