This is a tunebook in Mel Bay's Celtic Encyclopedia series and will be
released in 2004.
It will also contain approximately 80 Irish tunes, with suggested
ornamentation and breathing places. All the tunes will be on the companion CD.
Also included are explanatory chapters on my new ornamentation notation
system. While composed mainly of "whistle-friendly" tunes, there are also some
more challenging tunes. There are also some tunes in "challenging keys" that
work better when played on non-D whistles. I show how this can be done. I also
address the issue of notes that go too low for the whistle and options for
making needed adaptations.
