Overton Whistle - Soprano D

This is an Overton Soprano D Whistle,
hand-made in Germany. Overton is one of the most respected names in whistles, and is
usually at the top of professional player's "Favorite Whistles" lists. This one
is tuned to the key of "D" (D and G are the most popular for traditional Irish
music, this whistle plays easily in both keys). It's made of an aluminum alloy, and is
quite a bit heavier than most whistles - made to truly last a lifetime. The narrow windway
requires very little air, and produces a warm, flute-like tone easily in its entire two
octave range. It's designed for the professional musician who will settle for nothing less
than the best.
These whistles are hand-made by Colin Goldie. There are only two people in the
world that make genuine Overtons - Bernard Overton and Colin Goldie. Colin signs and dates
the inside lower edge of his whistles (see 4th pic). Also included is a handsome heavy
black pouch and a Certificate of Authenticity hand-signed by Colin .
